Dei Vorlauifzeit war lange, die offene Betaphase auch, aber nun ist es endlich soweit: Der Rock band Network ist heute mit 100 Songs online gegangen und bereichert somit das DLC-Angebot der jetzt schon riesigen Musikspielplattform.

Für alle, die nicht wissen, was das Rock Band Network ist: Das RBN ist eine Veröffentlichungs-Plattform für Indipendent-Bands und kleinere Musiklabels, die ab sofort ihre Songs selbst charten und als Downloadsong einreichen können. Alle dazu benötigten Programme findet man auf der Rock Band - Webseite. Die Endprodukte stehen für jeden Rock Band- Spieler bereit und lassen sich in einem Untermenü des Music-Stores finden. Der übliche wöchentliche DLC geht derweil natürlich weiter.

Das RBN hängt mit dem Xbox 3260 Creators-Club zusammen, der Microsoft-Plattform für Indie-Spiele. Daher kann man Songs auch nur auf der Xbox 360 einreichen und muss dazu Mitglied im Creators Club sein. PS3 und Wii-Rocker bekommen aber auch eine Auswahl an RBN-Songs. Nicht alle, aber nach und nach sollen die beliebtesten Vertreter im PSN nachgereicht werden. Wer eine Xbox 360 besitzt, ist also klar im Vorteil, denn nur auf dieser Plattform sind alle RBN-Songs vorhanden und auch nur dort wird es in Zukunft die aktuellste Auswahl geben.
